My work aims to contemporize age-old folkloric and mythological tales and to create new tales that reflect societies current (and permanent) fears and aspirations.
I have a particular fixation with urban myths and there relationship to the city. I avidly collect and create them as I feel such tales are brimming with deep-rooted emotional grammar. They freely allow both creator and viewer wonder into the depths of the subconscious.
I see the stories I make as tangible daydreams and am fascinated by the process of using pen and ink to render thoughts visible and given a life of their own.
